Diwali Celebration at Witty World, Udaipur

‘The lights are bright, the colors explode 

Feel the magic of Diwali unfold; 

A time to spare moment of thought 

For the Gods whose gifts we all have sought. 

This is the season to love and be loved,

A time when all are one;

Spread the word, there is love for all

There is a God, we are his sons.

Wear your finery, dress your best,

Diwali is a time for bliss;

With a prayer on your lips and love in your heart 

This is a day you just can’t miss!’

Diwali is the festival that celebrates the victory of good over evil i.e. when Lord Rama defeated the demon, Ravana and returned to his birth place Ayodhya. In the present time, the demon is the pollution that spoils our land. This year our Children at Witty World, Udaipur learned  to celebrate Diwali in a way that does not harm anything or anyone. 
On Thursday, 24th October 2019 children came dressed in beautiful traditional attire. They witnessed and participated in a special assembly. They were also told about the importance of the festival through dramatic play of Ramayan where children enacted different characters as Rama, Lakshman, Ravana, Sita, Hanuman, etc. Little ones also made flower rangolies and decorated the diyas. They also enjoyed watching Diwali slides as well as drawing beautiful Diwali scene in their scrap books. Along with great fun children learnt a lot about the festival. It was an enthralling experience for kids, thus everyone went home carrying the message of love, peace and the joy of the festival.
