India is known as a land of festivals & celebration and ‘Dussehra’ is one of them which has been unique in its perception and significance. The day is celebrated to commemorate the killing of Ravana by Lord Rama. The day also celebrates the killing of demon Mahishasur by Goddess Durga. Dussehra celebration spreads the message of the victory of good over evil.

Toran is a traditional hanging seen in Indian households during festive occasions. It fits perfectly into the archways of doors and at the entrance of homes and it gives the festive mood enhancement and also adds on to the decor of the house. On the occasion of Dusshera students of Grade I - IV made beautiful torans using pom poms made of orange and yellow colour wool and cut-outs of mango leaves. Students enjoyed as they were engaged in the activity. The torans were fitted on classroom doors which gave a festive look to the school.
