The Perfect Blend of Happiness
With the theme ‘Harmony- It’s all about Happiness,
Witty International School, Malad(West) and Borivali (West) conducted its Annual
Event through the soulful journey of inner revelation and self realization. It
was a star studded affair being graced by, Music Composer Atul Gogavale, King
of Standup Comedy, Amit Tandon, Musician Stephen Devassy, Garba King Nilesh
Thakkar, Singer Shahid Mallya, Director Ashwini Dhir and Actor Anang Desai.
The
programme commenced with the Namokar Vandana followed by a spectacular
welcome dance which displayed the majestically grand cultural amalgamation with
pompous entry of students in vibrant colours. A splendid
blend of dances and drama was incorporated which includes various dance styles such
as hip hop, contemporary, classical, fusion, and folk. The music rendered by
the Witty Orchestra was hypnotizing and each beat played was flawless
reminiscing the journey of school life. It was a memorable day for the students
who had excelled in sports, music and fine arts at the State and the National
level Competitions as they were felicitated and honoured with the school
trophies.
Managing Trustee of Witty Group of
Institutions, Dr. Vinay Jain stated, “With the
annual day of yore evolving into an educational gala today, students are more
than keen to put their best foot forward, and in the process, take home not
just their classroom concepts, but also a bagful of happy memories.”
Principal,
Bijo Kurian added, “Now, with schools
having every celebration with pomp, the annual event has undergone a major make
over to stand out among other events. Students
learn organizational skills, event management and team work. They learn to
complement each other rather than compete with each other.”
This year’s Annual Event brought to life a
fusion of cultures, ideas and identities. Each grade contributed to the much
awaited spectacle, be it the vibrant performances of the pre-primary Wittians
showcasing the seven attributes of harmony, the animated characters of the
central script, the rich heritage and folklore of India, enthralling musical
orchestra and enriching Kavi Sammelan by the older Wittians. As the fusion of
dance styles and music captured our hearts, we undertook a journey through harmony
in self, health and environment along with judicious use of technology. The
highlights included a captivating Aerial act, Tron Act and Gymnastics by the
primary students whereas the secondary students set the stage on fire with an
extravagant laser show. Among the most acknowledged show was the UV and shadow act
which showcased the cultural harmony in India and women empowerment.
With this, it was the curtain call for
this year’s celebration with the message to each one that the simplification of
life is one of the greatest steps to inner peace.
