In the Indian culture, at one time, there used to be 365 festivals in a year. These 365 festivals were ascribed to different reasons, and for different purposes of life. To commemorate the mythological and social aspects in students, Witty International School, Atun Road, Bhilwara celebrated Shivaji Jayanti, Social Justice Day and Mahashivratri on Wednesday, February 19, 2020. The celebration started with English and Hindi speeches having information about these days. A beautiful dance and melodious song were presented in reverence of Lord Shiva who is the Hindu god of destruction and regeneration and to mark a remembrance of 'overcoming darkness and ignorance' in life and the world. To create awareness in the young minds, regarding the valiant Maratha warrior, Shivaji Maharaj, a play was also performed to familiarize the students with the life and achievements of this great warrior. The basic concept of equality and equal rights advocating the underlying principle for peaceful and prosperous coexistence within and among society was enhanced through a poem on Social Justice Day followed by G.K quiz. The celebration helped the students to stand up for themselves as well as carve discipline and force into their creative minds.
