Pyar ke rang se
Bharo pichkari,
Sneh se rang do
duniya sari,
Ye rang na jane
Koi jaat na koi boli
Aapko mubarak ho
aapno ki
Holi
Holi is the
festival of colours. The festival is filled with so much fun and frolic that
the very mention of the word 'Holi' draws a smile and enthusiasm amongst people. Holi also celebrates the arrival of Spring, a season of joy and hope.
Monday, 9th March 2020, marked the celebration of "Holi" – the most colourful and vibrant festival of the year, for the little Wittians of Pre-Primary section at Witty World Bangur Nagar.
Children came dressed in coloured attire, they were shown a short movie on Lord Prahlad and were explained the importance of the festival. Trainees of Witty Institue of Teacher Training also performed a short skit on Holi in which they conveyed the message on having a safe holi and forgive and forget people who hurt you. Playgroup and Nursery children did colouring activities and our Jr K.G children did ‘Lets Draw – Freehand’ drawing on paper and our Sr KG children did “Let’s Write” wherein they copied a paragraph from the white board on Holi in their respective classrooms. All of them happily danced on the tunes of ‘Holi’ songs. They celebrated the festival in a unique yet colorful manner, without wasting a drop of water!! Instead of the typical pichkaris and water guns, children came equipped with colourful shredded of crepe papers. They had a great time showering each other with coloured paper while at the same time chanting HOLI HAIN!! After a fun filled and exciting celebration the day finally came to an end by wishing each other a very "Happy Holi!!"
