Witty International School stuck
to its traditions, once again celebrating, ‘The National Doctors’ Day’ on
1st July in a way of paying respect and homage to the
contributions made by the doctors, who have left an indelible mark in dawning
us with relief, forever obliging, caring, tolerating, being omniscient, and
reasonable. It is their deeds that make us feel proud.
Even at the time of the ongoing
pandemic, COVID ’19, doctors are at the forefront and are leading the battle. A
child is left whimpering as a doctor who was a doting father passed away, so is
a mother left with no son: but they never depart from their uttermost
commitment of keeping the nation safe and healthy in these challenging times
and it is truly exceptional.
The entire Secondary section
realizing these noble professionals’ love, charity, sacrifice, bravery and
courage celebrated this day in a very silent and solemn way by acknowledging
their work through their heartfelt poems, artwork and speeches. Grade VI made
beautiful cards thanking doctors for their service to society. Grade VII made
posters on Doctors' contributions during the pandemic. Grades VIII to A Levels
were shown videos on Contributions of Doctors and the teachers and the students
had interactions among themselves. In some classes, Doctor parents were invited
and congratulated for their arduous and relentless contribution. In a couple of
divisions, Doctor parents spoke to the children giving them assurances of a
safe and healthy future.
Mr. Bijo Kurian, the Principal and
the guiding force of Witty International School, Pawan Baug quoted, “A doctor
is bestowed with the eye to see and treats weakness in mankind. They are the
ones who can give us hope when we are in doom. Physicians strive to keep us
healthy through their dedication, attention to detail, and hard work. National
Doctors’ Day is a day to recognize and thank physicians for the work they do to
make people feel better all over the world.”
