Floral Art and Musical Tribute – Guru Purnima Celebrated by Primary Section at WIS, Pawan Baug (2020-21)

 The pandemic and the lockdown forced schools to shut operations and has severely impacted the artistic community. Yet the spirit of Witty International School, PB, Primary Section remains stronger than ever. For this very reason, a ‘Floral Art Workshop’, considering the importance of Guru Purnima was conducted for the students of Grade 5 on Saturday 4^th July, 2020. The guest for the day was Ms. Dhanshree Kosambi, an artist. She took great pride in teaching floral art and our students seized this opportunity to pay deference and show their gratitude to the teachers by making flower bouquet.

It’s true that a Guru can inspire us to overcome our limitations and conjure a life of wonderful possibilities. Keeping this in mind, students of Grade 4 were invited for a workshop on ‘Musical Tribute’ conducted by Mr. Abin Thomas, a music producer. Students dedicated a song to their teachers to convey to them how much difference their teachers have made in their lives. They sang with sentiments reverberating with their emotions of respect and gratitude towards the teachers. Students also participated in the discussion and highlighted about the importance of Gurus through a wonderful song. They learnt how a Guru can enlighten their mind and play a dynamic role in moulding their life.
