“The Guru is the means of realisation. There is no knowledge
without a Guru."
-Swami Vivekananda
The
path of life has many ups and downs and it is always very uncertain what will
happen next. That is why we need ‘Gurus’ to lead us on the correct path!Hence,
Guru Purnima is celebrated to acknowledge the contribution of the teachers. Guru purnima takes us to the ancient era, where gurus
were considered equivalent to God. In keeping with the tradition of revering
gurus for their invaluable contribution in shaping the minds and characters of
the young people, Witty International School, Atun Road, Bhilwara took the
initiative to celebrate the Guru Purnima festival on Saturday, July 04,2020
with the students of Grade III to X on the virtual platform. The online session
began with “Gurur Brahma, Gurur Vishnu” prayer. To honour the gurus and
teachers, students presented poems, shloks etc. There was a sweet and touching
moment when the students made cards, posters, collages etc. for their gurus.
Their artistic creative work very well explained their feelings for their
gurus.
Gurus are often equated with God and regarded as a link
between the individual and the immortal. Guru’s role in the evolution of men is
supremely important. That’s the reason why Witty International School has kept
alive the lamp of Guru Tatva, year after year, to reaffirm its belief and
allegiance to the ‘guru-shisya parampara’or tradition. May our Gurus continue
to shine and be the guides and torchbearers of the society.
