Witty
International School always try to make the children learn and understand the
premise of the festivals if we are to celebrate them meaningfully because it
not only enlightens children about their culture and traditions but also helps
them build religious tolerance. Something that is the core of our wonderful
country and that’s why, Witty engages
the students in a variety of activities and programmes to encourage them to
celebrate every festival in a different manner. People were
wholeheartedly waiting to welcome Bappa at their home, so students of Witty International School, Atun Road,
Bhilwara enjoyed ‘Modak Making Activity’ on Saturday, August 22,2020 as Modak is
considered to be the favourite sweet of the Hindu deity, Ganesha. It begets him the moniker
modakapriya (one who likes modak)
in Sanskrit. Students of grade 6th to 10th had an amazing
experience by preparing Modaks on their own using fireless cooking method and
using easily available ingredients at their homes. Students were pre informed
to be ready with the ingredients such as desiccated coconut, finely chopped dry
fruits, condensed milk etc. The concerned teachers first instructed the students
to sanitize their hands for the safety purpose. Students were looking real chefs
wearing chef caps and apron to be a part of this activity. Students of grade 3
& 4 participated in the wall hanging
making activity. They passionately presented their activity. After getting
involved in these hands-on activities, students understood
the unifying and binding spirit of the festival
