Hindi Diwas
Hindi Diwas is
celebrated on September 14, to pay tribute to the official language of India.
Hindi was adopted as the official language of Constituent assembly on September
14, 1949.
To
showcase the importance of this day and the language, Hindi Diwas was zeaoulsly
celebrated virtually by the students and staff of Witty
International School, Pawan Baug (ICSE). The day was celebrated with a whole
lot of gusto and enthusiasm by the students of Grade 1 – 8. It witnessed a
number of activities. Students of Grade 5 sang the Saraswati Vandana followed
by a talk on the importance of Hindi language. Wittians displayed splendid
performances on the occasion of Hindi Diwas. They recited poems, shlokas and
meaningful Dohas by Kabira, narrated stories,
shared beautiful thoughts, shayaris, and sang classical songs. Everybody made
sincere efforts to use Hindi as a medium of conversation for the day.
Largely,
the day was a celebration of luminaries in the field of Hindi literature. All
students were delighted to witness a number of literary activities to
commemorate this memorable day.
