“Peace comes from being able to contribute
the best that we have, and all that we are, towards creating a world that
supports everyone. But it is also securing the space for others to contribute
the best that they have and all that they are.”
Every year the International Day of peace is
observed around the world on September 21 to recognize the efforts of those who
have worked hard to end conflict and promote peace. The United Nation general assembly has declared
this as a day devoted to strengthening
the ideals of peace, through observing 24-hours of non -violence. At Witty
International School, Bhilwara we celebrated this special day for the students
of Grade III to X in the virtual classes with a motive to spread happiness and
encourage students to work in cooperation.
Students of
Grade III to V performed a pinwheel making activity where the students made
their own pinwheel and shared few wonderful thoughts about peace. Students of Grade VI to X experienced an
online meditation session conducted by the trainers from Heartfulness, it was
an extremely helpful session for students where they learnt that a consistent
meditation practice can help us calm our mind and do much more for our overall
health.
Principal, Mrs
Abha Mittal and Vice principal, Mr Deshbandhu Dadhich appreciated the efforts
of the students on virtual platform and addressed the students with a message that we have to do the things which are
morally right and we have to treat everyone fairly and equally. Students were
also motivated to follow consistent meditation practice.
