We are Indians firstly and lastly.... Republic Day Celebrated at WIS,Bhilwara (26.01.16)

Where the mind is without fear
and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been
broken up into fragments by
narrow domestic walls;
Where the words come out from
the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches
its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason
has not lost its way into the dreary
desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is led forward by thee
into ever-widening thought and action -
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father,
let my country awake.
The students at WIS Bhilwara took pride in glorifying 67th Republic Day and celebrated it with entire solemnity and grandeur. The event started with a patriotic zeal. Honorable director sir and principal hoisted the tricolor National Flag.
To mark the importance of this day, a grand celebration was held in the school.
The school echoed with patriotic fervour when students presented songs and patriotic speeches which contended a series of incidents in the history of India’s freedom struggle, attainment of independence, and eventually the formation of the Indian Constitution, making India a republic. A special tribute was paid to soldiers who sacrificed their lives happily for our country. All these performances brought the stage alive with passion and love for the motherland.

Republic Day and Star Gazing Activity

Oh stars of the sky!
How do you shine up so bright?
Are there fairies,
Who flutter and fly all night?
To make me smile happy and bright.
The Sr.Kg children of Witty International School had a double treat in store for them on Republic Day. As a complete deviation from their usual school routine, they came to school in the evening and what’s more they got to do some star gazing as well!! Witty Kids had arranged a magical evening of star gazing  conducted by Mr.Chintan Joshi, a certified star gazer, recommended by Nehru Planetarium  .
The Mini Auditorium at Witty World, Bangur Nagar screened a short movie on space,  following which children were taken for the star gazing activity. They were excited to see sun spots through a filter , and clusters of stars!!
What better way of celebrating republic day than to spend an evening with friends, gazing at a starry sky!!!!
