Debate is one of the academic activities that gives students
the creative room to express what they feel.
WIS, Udaipur organized a Debate Competition based on the
topic-“Children get a better upbringing in joint family as compared to nuclear
family” for the students of Grade- 5.
Students were very well prepared and used various skills
like voice modulation, expression, fluency, pronunciation, gesture, posture and
were armed with statistics and data which made their arguments more effective.
To top it all, there was a rebuttal round after the debate
which added as icing on the cake.
Principal Mrs. Shubha Govil praised the efforts of the
students and addressed that such events help in developing essential skill of
public speaking.
The parents who were present to witness the competition were
so enthralled by the way student spoke and presented their views that they also
came forward and shared their views. They were also very appreciative of the
fact that WIS grooms the overall personality of the students.
