A school trip with its natural dynamic
environment provides a learning venue that matches their natural inclination to
know more about things. It engages even those with short attention spans and
puts the learning subject in context. It makes students Confident Individuals, Successful
Learners and Responsible citizens.
To develop new sights, bonding and
informal environment for students, WIS Bhilwara planned an excursion to Chandigarh
and Amritsar.
Thirty two students of Grade IV to VIII along with four
teachers departed on 22 September’15 for Chandigarh. Students visited Sukhna Lake the most beautiful lakes lying at the foothills of the Shivalik Hills, Nek
Chand's Rock Garden of which is one of the most architecturally lauded spots in
India,
fascinating Mughal Garden (now popularly called Pinjore Garden) and Elanta Mall
which is designed by the famous architectural firm 'Woodhead' from Australia.
Next they visited Amritsar, a city with a splendid blend of tradition
and culture. Students visited one of the most sacred pilgrimage spots for
Sikhs, then Wagah Border, Jallianwala Bagh and Durgiana Temple.
Students enjoyed to the
extent that they did not want to come back. Their return was on 27 September’15.
Their DJ parties, entertainment activities and lavish hotels hold unforgettable
memories.
