FIELD TRIP TO PARLE-G BISCUIT FACTORY
Field
trips are a welcome break giving students educational experiences away from
their regular school environment. A field trip can awaken the desire in a child to
try new things
On Saturday, December 12, 2015
students of grade I - IV were taken for a field trip to Parle G biscuit factory at Vile Parle. Launched in
1939, the more than 50-year-old brand of Parle-G is India's first glucose
biscuit to be introduced from the House of Parle.
Students
enjoyed watching a cartoon film where Zappo the cartoon character gave
information about the company as well the products manufactured by the Parle
group.
Inside the
factory students viewed the various stages of production, such as mixing,
kneading, moulding, baking and packaging the final product. The massive oven where
the biscuits sailed on a conveyor belt fascinated the children.
At the time of departure, students were distributed a packet of Parle-G glucose biscuits and a mango bite candy. It was an interesting, enriching and informative field trip.
Witty International School thanks the management team and the staff of Parle-G for providing their valuable time and for their assistance and co-operation rendered to us.
