It is
rightly quoted by our great leader Mahatma Gandhi also known as The Father of
the Nation that, ‘Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to
live forever.’
To
enrich the learning experience of Wittians from Grade III and V, Witty
International School, Pawan Baug organised an informative field tripon 18th
November 2017 to one of the most prominent Gandhi Memorial Museums in the
country, The Mani Bhavan where Gandhiji lived and conversed with
his colleagues and moulded the nation in the image of his cherished ideals of
Truth and Non-Violence.
This
excursion gave an eye- opening experience to our students and helped them to learn
a lot about the life of Mahatma Gandhi and his contribution to the Indian
freedom struggle. Students not only gained information but also got the
opportunity to see the actual “charkha” that Gandhiji had used and also his
wooden slippers. They also witnessed many pictures, artefacts and models depicting
the incidents in Gandhiji’s life. As soon as the students entered a particular
gallery, all their excitement of being aware about the information displayed
resulted into an interactive discussion between the students and the teachers.
This
field trip was an overall success with the students’ enthusiastic response. It
was an interesting, enriching and informative field trip. Witty International
School thanked the management team and the staff of ‘Mani Bhavan’ for providing
their valuable time and for their assistance and co-operation rendered to us.
