‘Hindi hai Bharat
ki Bindi’
On 14th
September Hindi Diwas was celebrated at Witty International School with vigour
and enthusiasm. A fine blend of competitions and cultural activities were the
highlight of the day.
The students of
grade IV - VI presented a vibrant cultural programme depicting the various
realms of Hindi literature. The programme started with
lighting of the lamp followed by a spectacular classical
dance performance. The
speech with a thought gave a head start to a day to show the children the real
meaning of Hindi in our lives. The air was
mellifluously filled with meaningful songs by the students.
The audience truly rejoiced to the beats of the
rhythmic songs.
A nukkad natak ‘Hindi hai Bharat ki Bindi’ presented the underlining role of the national language in the current scenario. Students utilized their at par acting skills through a short skit ‘Kabir Laut Aao’ presenting Kabir’s Dohas and throwing light on social concerns.
The occasion was also marked by rendition of poems in the Kavi Sammelan which symbolised humour, patriotism, exam fever. The grand finale a well-choreographed dance performance was well appreciated & loved by the audience. It was indeed a delight to the eyes.
For the students of Grade I –III various competitions such as Sulekh Pratiyogita (Handwriting competition), Vesh Bhusha Pratiyogita (Fancy Dress), Bhashan Pratiyogita (Elocution), Kavita Pratiyogita, Chitron ki kahaani Hammari Zubani (Story Telling), Mile Sur Mera Tumhara (Singing competition) were held to mark the day. The celebrations aimed to enhance the Hindi language skills among the students.
