“All the lights of the world cannot be compared even to ray of the
inner light of the self. Merge yourself in the lights of lights and enjoy
incredible deepavali.”
As India geared up for its biggest festival, Witty
International Atun road, Bhilwara assembled to welcome Goddess Lakshmi and to celebrate
the victory of Lord Ram over Ravan on October 24, 2019.
Decorated in vibrant hues, the school draped a euphoric ambience. The day embarked with the celebration of this pious festival of Diwali. Students talked
about why and how Diwali is celebrated across the country. Students of Grade
III eloquently presented “Nukad Natak” encouraging the eco friendly diwali.
Little ones of Grade I & II presented foot tapping dances, dance drama,
poems, songs etc. Prayers in the form of songs were offered to
herald the coming of the Goddess Lakshmi asking for her blessings. Dance drama presented by the students of
Grade VIII, stole heart of the audience.
Welcoming the festival of lights, Witty codified a raft of
Competitions for students of Grade 3 to 9 like diya decoration, poster making,
fireless cooking, lantern making, rangoli making and bandanwar making. The innovative
pupil unfolded their creative abilities in a string of inter house
competitions. The brightly colored lanterns across the plazas of Witty lit up
not only the corridors but were good enough to illuminate the hearts of Wittians.
Beaded Torans in the archways and at the entrance promised and assured coming
of Lakshmi. Bright Rangoli
patterns using rice grains, flour, sand and chalk in front of the temple area
revamped the long lost legendry tradition. All the groups competed with each other to
showcase their spirit of creativity and innovation through different
competitions. This also calls for a major student-teacher bonding session.
Students dispersed with pure and illuminated heart, goodness
and power protecting themselves with spiritual darkness.
Principal Mrs Abha Mittal sensitized the students about the
ill-effects of crackers and gave her blessings and wishes to all the students.
