“BIRDS OF A FEATHER” Event by Nursery Section at Witty World, Bangur Nagar (2019-2020)

To-day at dawn there twinkled through
The pearly mist a flash of blue
  So dazzling bright I thought the sky
  Shone through the rifted clouds on high,

 Till, by and by,
A note so honey-sweet I heard,
I knew that bright flash was a bird!

The  event , “BIRDS  OF  A  FEATHER” was held  on Saturday, 18^th January, 2020 which was conceptualized to reinforce the concept of  BIRDS ,which was the theme  of  the  month for  the Nursery class. Teachers had decorated the class with flashcards of different kinds of birds. Children were accompanied by their moms and were  enthusiastic about the event. Children participated in activities like lifecycle of a chicken, 2 piece puzzle, bird feeding and peg board puzzles of birds in manipulative area along with their parents. Children were able to answer the quiz about birds asked by the teachers and made a beautiful bird feeder with help of moms as a take away activity. During tiffin time they enjoyed a cooking experience of making  bird nest by using tart shells,parboiled moong,corn,capsicum,cucumber,tomato, and topped it with grated cheese.The day was concluded by watching a movie, Mother Pluto in the auditorium and dancing the birdie way.

 Overall it was a fun – filled day which brought smile on everyone’s face.
