15th August 1947, is a red
letter day in the history of India. The day is celebrated with great joy
and pride. This annual observance has a great significance and this special day
is celebrated for commemorating our brave leaders and fighters of history who
won us the freedom we are enjoying today.
Wittians proudly celebrated India's
74th Independence Day. Though the celebration happened virtually, the emotions
depicted by Primary and Secondary students could truly be felt!!! The
celebrations included list of performances by the students.
The event was elated by the presence
of our Guest of Honour Mr. Naresh Kumar (Assistant Commissioner of Customs)
Stars of Witty International
School Grade 1 - 8 (ICSE) zealously participated in role play, paying tribute
to the freedom fighters, pandemic heroes and nation builders. They spoke about
our responsibilities towards our country as citizens of this nation.
Mesmerising dance performances
and melodious singing of patriotic songs was an amazing experience on the
virtual platform.
Until next time...We shall keep
learning, shining & working towards the nation's progress in every stride
of life.
