‘Truly
giving from the heart fills your life with joy, inner happiness and nourishes
your soul. Inner fulfillment comes from
making others happy.’
True joy, real prosperity, and lasting happiness are possible
when all of us come together to take care of each other, respect each other's
rights, and help each other to grow. Joy of Giving Week also known as Daan Utsav
is observed annually in India during the week of Gandhi Jayanti i.e. from 2nd October
to 8th October. The festival gives each one of us an opportunity to
do something good for our fellow citizens.
Wittians
heartily contributed stationery like pens, pencils, erasers, art supplies,
notebooks and pencil boxes as well as basic utility items. Students of grade
III and IV visited and donated the collected items to Abhilasha Foundation an NGO
working towards the
upliftment and betterment of the underprivileged children and educating
more than 500 children who are migrants from various parts of India. The
Joy of Giving Week is a platform that provides a connection between the givers
and those who need support, it’s a unique initiative to bring people from all
walks of life together and to engage in acts of kindness. The celebration
reinforced the value of gratitude amongst students and they experienced the joy
of giving and spreading love and happiness among those who are less fortunate.
