Square Day Celebration of Playgroup Afternoon Section at Witty World, Chikoowadi (2017-18)

I am a square, a lovely square,

I have four sides, they’re all same,

I have four corners, four lovely corners,

I am a square, and that’s my name.

On Thursday, 31^st August, 2017, Playgroup section celebrated ‘Square Day’. Teacher introduced the square shape with the help of a story, featuring 'Square Head George', who had a square head, and a square body with square eyes, square hands and square feet. He lived in square house which had a square door and square windows.

To further re-inforce the concept, children were encouraged to walk on a square shape outline on the floor, and bring square shaped snacks from home.

It was indeed a Square Day!! 

                                                                                 

RHYME ENACTMENT "HUMPTY DUMPTY" BY NURSERY SECTION (2017-18) AT WITTY WORLD, BANGUR NAGAR

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall

Humpty Dumpty had a great fall

All the king’s horses

And all the king’s men

Could not put Humpty together again.

On Thursday, 31^st August, 2017, children of Nursery section enjoyed enacting the rhyme “Humpty Dumpty”. Rhyme enactment is an emotive way of learning where children experience various emotions by playing various characters of a rhyme.

 Designated children came dressed as Humpty Dumpty, the King, a Horse and the King’s men respectively. Children enjoyed both enacting and reciting the rhyme. Making Humpty Dumpty mobiles, gave expression to children’s creativity.

 It was a day full of fun and learning!! Kudos to the parents whose creativity was also on display in the form of the child’s costume!!

Rhyme enactment is a great way of getting children to explore various emotions by getting into the skin of the characters in the poem.

Humpty Dumpty, the king, his horses and the men were all enacted by designated children in Nursery class at Witty World on Thursday, 31^st August 2017. Mobile hanging of Humpty Dumpty made by our Wittians added fun and joy to the rhyme enactment.

Parent’s had put in their creative best to make the rhyme come alive for their children!!

                                                                             

Field Trip to Furniture Showroom!!

Learning is an experience.

On Thursday 31^st August, 2017 Wittians of Nursery at Witty International School, Udaipur visited to the Furniture Showroom. They were shown different types of furnitures used in our daily life. Children enjoyed learning about the carpenter and his work. They were told that furnitures are made of wood. Toddlers saw different types of sofa sets, beds, dining tables, study tables, dressing tables etc. It was fun loving visit for the little Wittians.

Little toddlers of Playgroup of Witty International School, Udaipur learnt about the square shape and its appearance in our daily life.The class was decorated with square shape objects.

They identified all the objects related to square shape and enjoyed walking on square shape outline. They enjoyed doing square shape sponge dabbing on their worksheet. It was an excited day for little Wittians.
