Debate Activity on Democracy at WIS, Udaipur

 Students of grade VI CAIE participated in Debate Activity on Democracy engaging themselves in a disciplined way, marshalling their arguments responding to their opponent's points in a healthy way.

Peer Learning at WIS, Udaipur

Peer learning promotes accountability , kinship , interdependence and deeper understanding of concepts. Students of grade IV CAIE conducted a Peer Learning Session wherein they exchanged their thoughts with each other and this aspect of  learning process provided them an ability to perform better , retain information and attain academic excellence.

Story Session and Birdie Dance at WIS, Udaipur

'I saw a little bird go hop,hop ,hop

I told the little bird to stop ,stop, stop

He wagged his little tail& far away he flew. '

Children of Nursery enjoyed Birdie dance on the virtual platform on Friday, 29th January 2021. The tiny tots tapped their feet and flapped their wings on the catchy beats of the Birdie song. The fun time was elevated to the exuberant level when the teacher dramatized the ever engrossing story of the " Thirsty Crow". The story narration was followed by the transfer activity wherein the tiny Wittians used their quack quack fingers. This activity is helpful in the development of the motor skills of the young ones giving them an edge into experiential learning. Over all it was a happy day for the tiny bundle of joys.

Art Competitions provide a platform to the students to display their creative and artistic abilities and also have a life-changing effect on them. Witty International School, Udaipur congratulates Wittian Shlok Dad of Grade VIII for bagging III position in Online On the Spot Painting Competition organised by WWF under their event Udaipur Bird Festival on 22nd January, 2021.

Kudos to the efforts of our Wittian for showcasing his art and bringing laurels to the Witty Family.

Elephants in Action Activity by Nursery Section (2020-21), Witty World and Witty Kids, Udaipur

Nursery children of Witty World and Witty International School,  Udaipur visited the jungle on Saturday, 10th October 2020 and met so many wild animals, specially the big elephants.

They enjoyed the rhyme 'Ek Mota hathi'. Teachers narrated the story 'Hiccups for Elephant' where they saw how his animal friends helped him to cure his hiccups. Wittians also enjoyed making elephant finger puppet and danced with it. 

Overall it was a fun-filled day for little ones.

Janmashtami Celebration by Pre-Primary section at Witty International School and Witty World, Udaipur

 Lord Krishna!!

Reservoir of all beauty,

Blue body like newly risen cloud,

Janmashtami is an auspicious day. Someone special was born on this day; born to fight against inhumanity; born to re-create love in this world. Janmashtami is a festival celebrated as Lord Krishna’s birth.

Little Wittians at Witty World celebrated the festival of Janmashtami on 10h August, 2020, Monday. Little charming Krishnas and pretty Radhas made the  atmosphere of the class festive ! Teachers too dressed up as Krishna , Radha and Yashoda Maiyya and to add to the excitement a skit on Lord Krishna was presented. Kids enjoyed the performance tremendously and moved their feet on the song “Nand Ke Ghar Anand Bhayo, Jai Yashoda Lal Ki”. As a homework children were asked to add their creativity to the worksheet on Lord Krishna . It was an enjoyable day.

Eid, Friendship Day and Raksha Bandhan Celebration at Witty International School and Witty World by Pre-Primary Section.

The greatness of a culture can be found in its festivals.

On Friday, 31st July, 2020 tiny tots of Witty World, Udaipur celebrated Eid, Friendship Day and Rakhsha Bandhan virtually.

Teachers and children came dressed in festive attire for the celebration. They were explained that Eid is the festival of forgiveness celebrated by Muslims. Friendship Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of August to cherish the bond between friends and we tie Friendship band on our friend's wrist. 

On Rakhsha Bandhan, Sisters tie Rakhi on their brother's wrist and the brother promises to take care of his sister.

Wittians participated in a welcome dance,  they enjoyed card and envelope making activity.

Overall it was a fun-filled day for our little ones.

Art Workshop by Primary Section(ICSE) at WIS, Pawan Baug (2020-21)

 “Every child is an artist. ...

Any creative activity can reduce stress and build confidence in children, regardless of artistic experience or talent.

Building confidence from a young age is of utmost importance today as children are now constantly surrounded by gadgets and influencers who are ‘too good to be true’. Children need an outlet for creativity, explore materials and to get messy.

Students of Grade 5 (ICSE) had a wonderful experience where they practiced painting on popsicle sticks. They shared their exciement with Ms Mansi, Ms Jheel and Ms Shagun as they proudly displayed their piece of art.

Happy Parenting Seminar held at Witty World, Udaipur

"Phonics instruction is:

Beneficial to all, 

Harmful to none

And crucial for some."

On Thursday, 20 February 2020, a 'Happy Parenting Seminar ' was conducted at Witty World, Udaipur by Mrs. Sheetal Kapoor (Curriculum Head). She explained to the parents that the Letter land is important and is wonderfully multi-sensory. It activates every learning channel through music, actions, alliteration, movement, song, art, games and role-play as it allows children to figure out how to read words they have never seen before. The story logic engages students leading to long term retention of concepts. 
She also guided parents how to choose age appropriate books and inculcate reading habits among children.
Overall it was a very interactive and an informative session for everyone.

Global Handwashing Day celebrated by Pre Primary Kids at WIS, Udaipur

Wash, wash, wash your hands,
wash those germs away
soap and water does the trick,
to keep them clean all day.

Schools are said to be second homes for children and a clean home is paramount to sound mental physical well-being. Learning begins at school and so does a clean and healthy environment. On Thursday, October 17, 2019, the little Wittians of Witty International School, Udaipur showed enthusiasm in learning and spreading knowledge about cleanliness with the help of washing their hand's activity along with reciting rhymes. Teachers demonstrated and explained the basic techniques to wash hands and its importance to the little ones. Here, we try our best to give a healthy and beautiful environment for the upcoming generation.

Pajama Party at WIS, Udaipur

Giggles and Wiggle, laughter and cake,
Movies and munchies, oh won’t it be great
Pack your jammies and your pillow.
And let’s all enjoy pajama party.

On Wednesday, September 19th, 2019, little ones of Nursery at Witty International School, Udaipur, were excited about having a Pajama Party. They were thrilled with the novelty of wearing their pajamas at school and seeing all their classmates do the same. The class was adorned with a night scene. Stars, fairies and moon were displayed on the wall and mattresses and pillows were set up on the floor. The regular routine was replaced with a series of special activities including game, bedtime story and learning about night time.
Children enjoyed playing, sorting and passing the pillow games. The children also did some night time themed artwork like spray paint on their worksheet and also stuck silver paper pieces on star cutouts to make a magic wand. Kids even enjoyed watching slides of “What is night  time?”
Thus, the little Wittians giggled, danced and were full of excitement and happiness the way they celebrated the wonderful Pajama Party.
