DICTIONARY DAY (BILLBOARD ACTIVITY)

‘‘Coin a new word and hear it jingle in your pocket with all your other change’’.

Learning a new vocabulary is one of the most important aspects because it enables a person to understand a lot and communicate. With this in mind, Primary Section of Witty International School, Pawan Baug celebrated Dictionary Day on 16^th October, 2015 with enthusiasm.

Students from Grade I-IV made billboards to share the word and its meaning. It was pleasing to see students moving around wearing the billboards. Students were expected to share and elicit the meaning of the word from their fellow classmates and use the word in a sentence.This activity encouraged students to build their dictionary skills and to exult in the joy of words. The day ended well with smiles on the faces of the Wittians and new words in their minds which helped them increase their vocabulary.

World Literacy Day by Primary Section, WIS Pawan Baug

Literacy has been described as the ability to read for knowledge and write coherently and also to think critically about the written word. As a part of Enrichment Hour activity students of Grade I – IV were given information about the importance of World Literacy Day and were encouraged to bring awareness that literacy is a human right, a tool for personal empowerment and means of social and human development.

Students of Witty International School, Pawan Baug celebrated World Literacy Day with complete enthusiasm and zeal. Students dedicated themselves in doing a good deed and spread awareness for their right to education. Students of Grade I – IV were expected to teach any one person of the society who was deprived of education in childhood and carry a photograph of the same for collage making activity.

To mark this day, Wittians really put in their great and sincere efforts which the school appreciates. This activity gave the school a chance to see our hard working future citizens of India.

Friendship Day Celebration. (Witty International School, Pawan Baug, Primary Section)

Friends are the inevitable part in everyone’s life. Considering the valuable role friends play in our life it was deemed fit to have a day dedicated to friends and friendship.

In order to honour this beautiful relationship, Wittians of Witty International School, Pawan Baug celebrated Friendship Day on 3^rd August, 2015 by making creative art work for their friends.

Students of Grade I & II wrote lovely messages about friendship on their hand print cut outs to form a collage. Students of Grade III & IV made decorative trophies to award their best friends.
