DICTIONARY
DAY (BILLBOARD ACTIVITY)
‘‘Coin a new word and hear it jingle in your
pocket with all your other change’’.
Learning a new vocabulary is one of
the most important aspects because it enables a person to understand a lot and
communicate. With this in mind, Primary Section of Witty International School, Pawan
Baug celebrated Dictionary Day on 16th October, 2015 with
enthusiasm.
Students from Grade I-IV made
billboards to share the word and its meaning. It was pleasing to see students
moving around wearing the billboards. Students were expected to share and elicit
the meaning of the word from their fellow classmates and use the word in a
sentence.This activity encouraged students to build their dictionary skills and
to exult in the joy of words. The day ended well with smiles on the faces of the
Wittians and new words in their minds which helped them increase their
vocabulary.
