VAACHAN PRERNA DIWAS

In
realization of the adage that says catch them young; Witty International
School, Pawan Baug celebrated 15th October, the birth anniversary of former President
of India APJ Abdul Kalam, as ‘Vaachan (Reading) Prerna (Inspiration) Diwas (Day)’ in an incredible
way to encourage reading, a unique tribute to his vision and knowledge.
The entire ‘school
without bags’ day was dedicated towards Buddy Reading in Witty Reading Lounge,
introducing students to well known authors, a cultural programme and book
review discussions.
All the students
carried to school a book of their choice to read. Spin-a-Wheel activity was
quite interesting as the children enjoyed completing the task that they got on the
wheel. Students of Grade I – IV paid tribute to the great scientist APJ Abdul
Kalam by enacting various episodes from his life. A short documentary film was
shown in the Sparkle Auditorium.
Salutations to The
Missile Man of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam who set mission of making India a global
power!
