Wittians proved their mettle at Hindi Olympiad (Udaipur)




Lemonade Day Nursery Section (2014-15) WIS, Malad



On Wednesday, 1 October 2014 children of Nursery section made fresh lemonade juice to reinforce letter L. It was such a fun process from beginning to end! They enjoyed squeezing lemons with a squeezer and even with their hands. After gathering the lemon juice children added water, sugar and a pinch of salt to make yummy Lemonade! It tasted so good and it was a very rewarding experience for the little Wittians. Along with these activities we emphasised on letter “L is for lemon” and “L is for Lemonade”.
All in all it was a fun day for the tiny tots. 











Wittians make their mark in 59th District level Athletics (Udaipur)


59th District level athletics meet for the senior and the secondary level was organized at the Gandhi ground in Udaipur city, from 28th September to 1st October 2014.  Students of Witty International School participated in the tournament and contributed substantially. One remarkable achievement was that one student, Palak Sirohiya, student of Grade 7, secured Bronze medal in Discuss throw under 14 girls category



Mahatma Gandhi and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti celebrated at WIS, Udaipur


“Be the change you want to see” - Gandhiji
Witty International School celebrated Gandhi Jayanti today. Melodious bhajan “Raghupati raghav raja ram” was sung by Witty Choir. Then information on Gandhiji and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri was given by the student of Grade 5.Besides this, inspirational poems on Gandhiji were recited by the young students. The program ended by everyone present taking the pledge to live by the principles of Gandhiji. 





Celebrated Gandhi Jayanti (PG to Sr. KG) WIS, Bhilwara 30. 09. 2014


The sparkling stars from PG to Sr. KG celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with a lot of exciting activities. The tiny tots recited the rhymes  and songs on Gandhiji and the toddlers of Jr. KG also enacted the play on Gandhiji. This was a wonderful experience for little wittians.


Navratri and Dussehra Celebration, WIS, Bhilwara (01.10.14)

















Navratri is a nine days' festival celebrated in India to honour the Mother Goddess in all her Avtars. WIS Bhilwara celebrated Navratri and  Dussehra on Wednesday,1st October. Students from Grade P.G. to VII came to school dressed in colourful, beautiful traditional clothes wearing a smile on their excited faces. They learned a lot about Navratri and Dussehra festival.

Programme started with lighting of the lamp and worshiping of Maa Durga by honourable Director,  Mr. Akin Choudhary and Principal Mrs. Sadhna Mishra. Students learned about the festival from poems and speeches. They performed Dandiya Raas very enthusiastically on their favourite beats. Children had great fun and entertainment. At last they saw the victory of truth and goodness over evil with burning of Ravan effigy. All the students genuinely wrote one negative point which they wanted to root out from their behaviour on a slip of paper and it was burnt with the Ravan effigy.

Field Trip to ‘The Discovery of India’



The spirit of India has fascinated the world with its very mystique. Keeping this objective in mind, the students of Witty International School of Grade II and III were taken for a field trip to ‘The Discovery of India’ on Saturday, 27th September, 2014 to understand, feel and experience the true essence of India – a voyage as seen through the eyes of Jawaharlal Nehru. Students had the opportunity to experience through multimedia the richness of culture, the glory of the past, the turbulences and the triumphs; the landmark of each era, the achievements of each age, the legacy of the regime. They walked through a diorama depicting pre-historic and Gurukul life, the different galleries, such as, the Mauryan Peace, confluence of cultures, continuity and change, synthesis, impact of the West, struggle for freedom. They were also shown a documentary film on ‘Who are We’ giving a message of secularism, harmony and unity in diversity. The trip was immensely enjoyed by the students. It provided them with a wonderful learning opportunity. Teachers thanked the staff and the management for their assistance and co-operation.

FIELD TRIP TO ‘THE DISCOVERY OF INDIA MUSEUM’


The students of Grade 7 of Witty International School were taken on a field trip to Discovery of India Museum, Worli on Saturday, 27th September, 2014. Nehru Museum is a cylindrical shaped building, includes a planetarium, art gallery, restaurant, library, cultural center and a 14-gallery exhibit called Discovery of India. There are antique exhibits like a railway engine, tramcar, supersonic airplane and steam lorry. It is also a venue of numerous international trade fairs and local exhibitions. This field trip helped the children to understand and experience the true essence of India in the most visual way.
The Discovery of India expositions have 14 galleries where permanent display of different aspects of the Indian civilization from its very beginning, is on display. It is a showcase of India through the ages from 2500 BC to after India got its independence. This is composite history — where intellectual, philosophical and artistic transitions are located and traced. Each display comes with a story, with pictures, with installations from that time, with books, documents, often films as well as photographs, attire and all possible records that help to connect the dots.

Each section is a beauty and needs to be seen to be believed. The students were also shown a documentary on ‘Who are we’ giving a message of secularism, harmony and unity in diversity. The students enjoyed the trip immensely and had a wonderful learning experience. This astounding jewel of history is a must-visit.
