Workshop on Vedic Mathematics at WIS, Udaipur

“Pure Mathematics is in its way, the poetry of logical ideas” – Albert Einstein

Encouraging and supporting the above quote, Witty International School organized a workshop on Vedic Math to inculcate in our students, a different attitude or approach towards Mathematics. Mr. Anshul Kothari (CA), Center Director T.I.M.E, Udaipur, along with his team took the interactive session with students of class VIII to XII, to discover their latent interest in the subject. Mathematics can surely have creative vents and to bring out the amalgamation, all the students participated in the workshop. He gave the students various tips and formulas in Vedic Math to make calculation fast and interesting. He also clearified the queries of students for the number system he urged them to understand the true value of mathematics or aptitude, to grab the various opportunity after school education. The session concluded with lots of positive energy and in consonance with the quote.

Think Big

"Think big your dreams will grow, think small you fall behind."

The 6^th Annual Function of Witty International School, Udaipur portraying  the theme "Think Big" for senior section was orgainsed on November 29, 2015 with glitz and glory. Chief Guest Honorable Ram Niwas Mehta, UIT Secretary, Udaipur along with Mrs. Sheetal Kapoor, Head of Curriculum Design & Training, Director Mrs. Preeti Sogani, Mr. Deepen Sogani, Principal Mrs. Shubha Govil and Mr.Hemant Paliwal invoked the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. The premisis of WIS turned aesthetic with the melodious welcome song followed by scintillating dance performance on Hanuman Chalisa.

According to the core context of the theme,  programme was based on the lives of legendary heroes. The programme comprised of  various vibrant foot tapping dances with enchanting music by the Wittians, which not only entertained but motivated the students to think big and to make their dreams come true.

Inspired by the Movie, 'A night in the Museum' an enactment presenting the legendary heroes like Nelson Mandela, Dashrath Manjhi, Narendra Modi, Charlie Chaplin, APJ Abdul Kalam, Gaura Devi, Gulabo Devi, Major Dhyanchand etc.  who made their lives an example for everyone and are still inspiring us to do something big in our life.

The performances enthralled the audience. All the students once again rocked the stage by their performance in Grand Finale.

Annual Function (PG to Grade II) Celebrated at WIS, Udaipur

Witty International School,Udaipur celebrated its 6th Annual Day with its theme Think Big on November 28, 2015 for the junior wing, amidst great zest, vibrance and elation. The programme commenced with the lighting of the Ceremonial Lamp by the Hon’ble Chief Guest Mayor, Shree Chandra Singh ji Kothari along with Mrs. Sheetal Kapoor, Head of Curriculum Design & Training, Director Mrs. Preeti Sogani, Mr. Deepen Sogani, Principal Mrs. Shubha Govil and  Mr. Hemant Paliwal.

The programme commenced with the Witty News wherein the academically meritorious pupil and other students who excelled in various other fields as well as the activities conducted throughout the year were highlighted.

Taking into consideration the theme of the programme the storyline was based on the lives of legendary heroes who inspire us to do something big in our life. The programme comprised of various vibrant foot tapping dances with enchanting music by the junior Wittians. The Dance Drama based on the lives of Bhagat Singh and Jhansi ki Rani highlighted the message that the purpose of human life, ought to serve our country. The performances entertained us as well as instilled the values of love, sacrifice, brotherhood in humans. All the performances left the audience awestruck with their talent and skills.

The Chief Guest in his speech was superlative in his appreciation for Witty International School, which, he stated, is standing tall in stature with its trendsetting and outstanding achievements and has carved a niche for itself. He further added that teachers play a pivotal role in the lives of students and ought to be revered.

Wittians at Kahani Festival

The Students of WIS visited MMVM to be a part of the ‘Kahani Festival’.

It was a joyous experience being a part of the various events.

The events were followed by doodle and story writing workshop where the younger ones connected with each other through their ideas, expressions and stories.

They attended puppet making and cartoon making workshops.

It was a great pleasure to watch their nimble fingers giving different shapes to the clay.

They completely enjoyed ‘Nagada’ and ‘Contemporary Dance workshop’.

At last the cartoon characters and magician were able to successfully connect with the little ones in the audience whose innocent laughter and comments made this trip more meaningful. 

Jr.KG kids learnt about Moon at WIS, Udaipur

The inquisitive mind of Junior KG at WIS, Udaipur, learnt about the natural satellite moon. They were told about it in detail and enjoyed a walk on it. They were told that due to lack of oxygen life there is impossible.  They enjoyed the activity while learning about moon and the solar system at the same time. 

Shape Parade Day PG Section WIS,Malad [2015 -16]

On Tuesday, 1 December 2015 children of Playgroup class at Witty Kids had “Shape Parade Day”. They brought different shaped toys or objects and showed it to their peers. The teachers and the children then discussed about the shapes and their sides. Children were encouraged to think creatively and identify the shape objects they had brought to reinforce the concept.

Field Trip to Bike Showroom by Nursery section (2015-16) - Witty World

Children of the nursery class at Witty World had a wonderful experience, on their field –trip to visit a Bike Showroom.  On 30th November, 2015 children visited a Honda bike showroom,  where  they saw  different types of bikes and scooters. It was an exciting trip, and of course experiential learning at its best. 

Fancy Dress celebrated by Playgroup at Witty World [2015-2016]

I wandered by the water,and wondered what there would be.A crab, a fish, a tortoise,or things too small to see?As I looked into the water, what then did I see?All those curious little creatures staring back at me!

On Monday 30th, November 2015, Little Wittians of PG enthusiastically participated in a Fancy Dress Activity, theme for which was Marine Life. The classroom became the lovely blue ocean, and the tiny tots came dressed as marine animals such as fish, starfish, shark, octopus, jelly fish and turtle.It was a, "fishy and fun" experience for the little ones.
