Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration by Pre-Primary Section WIS, Malad (2016-2017)


Ganpati Bappa Morya!!!     Mangal Murthi Morya!!!
Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with great joy and devotion in India. People bring Ganesha Idols and worship them during Ganesh Chaturthi. Ganesh Chaturthi is considered as the day on which Lord Ganesha the son of Lord Shiva and Parvati comes down on earth to shower his blessings on his devotees.
The little Wittians of Pre-primary section celebrated “Ganesh Chaturthi” festival on Friday, 2nd September 2016.
As a part of the celebration the kids were shown an audio visual presentation and a short movie on Lord Ganeshji explaining the importance of the festival which was also a visual treat to the kids.
The Ganesh Chaturthi celebration included activity sessions wherein, the little ones of Pre primary were shown Ganpati Idols made of different materials (Plaster of Paris and Clay) and its immersing to learn about the importance of eco friendly ganpati idols.
Overall, the spirit and the enthusiasm of the festival was lightened up with the shlokhs and songs of Lord Ganesha. Foot tapping music was played for the children to dance and enjoy themselves. They also chanted "Ganpati Bappa Morya"!!! 







Ganesh Chaturthi Activity, Primary Section, WIS Pawan Baug




Amongst many religious and social customs that mark the diverse festive calendar of Indians, Ganesha Chaturthi,the birth of the Elephant-headed God, Ganesha,is a very important religious occasion.
Wittians of Primary Section, Pawan Baug celebrated this auspicious festival with great enthusiasm on 1st September 2016. Students of Grades I – V enjoyed the mask making activity. Mask making is one of the most enjoyable crafts that children can be engaged in. This activity was organized to explore and encourage creativity in children and offer them a platform to show their skill in mask making. It inspired children to think and work creatively and promoted artistic excellence.

This fun filled activity witnessed an enthusiastic participation of all the students.The importance of how a single festival could unite so many diverse people of India was made amply clear and how celebration brings out the splendour and the spirit of sharing and giving and the strength of the city's artistic traditions was discussed on this day.

RHYME ENACTMENT (AUGUST 29,2016) WITTY WORLD,BHILWARA


RHYME ENACTMENT  ‘HUMPTY DUMPTY’


The shining stars of Nursery, Witty World, Bhilwara had the rhyme enactment of the rhyme ‘Humpty Dumpty’ on Monday August 29, 2016. Children came dressed as the Humpty Dumpty, Horses, King and Soldiers to participate in the rhyme enactment. They acted as the different characters in the rhyme. The kids sang the rhyme and could visualize the characters role in the rhyme through this activity.

The little Wittians of Nursery highlighted the importance of the day as they came beautifully dressed in the attire of ‘Humpty Dumpty King’s Men and King’s Horses.

Their classroom was adorned according to the theme. Toddlers enacted and narrated the rhyme ‘Humpty Dumpty’. Children made stuff puppet of Humpty Dumpty and enjoyed doing the activity. They enjoyed rhyme enactment to the fullest. 






Field Trip to Supermarket by Playgroup Section WIS, Malad (2016-17)


Field trip is a great way of learning for children as they can have firsthand experience of things and surroundings. The theme for the month of August for play group was Fruits and Vegetable, and as an extension of this theme, children were taken to a Supermarket visit on Thursday, 1st September 2016. They had fun there, going through all the aisles, pointing out to their favourite products and toys.Children were very excited to see the different fruits and vegetables. Children were then taken to the cash counter to know the concept of paying money.
Moreover, they had great fun as it was a different kind of an experience for the little Wittians!!.








Play Group children enjoyed healthy bhel day (31.08.16)



The little Wittians of Play group made the healthy bhel on Wednesday, August 31,2016 with a lot of excitement. The tiny tots did the recap of red, yellow and green colours with the help of tomato, capsicum, cucumber and lemon. The kids mixed all the items of bhel with the help of teacher and enjoyed eating it. They also did the worksheet based on printing of tomato and capsicum slices on a paper. Through this they could identify tomato, capsicum and cucumber.

Hand Puppet Making Competition and Logo Designing Competition held at WIS,Bhilwara (31.08.16)







Logo is very important in present world. It establishes an identity. The power of logo lies in its visual nature because people recognize and relate to images faster than text.
Designing a logo and writing a slogan competition for selected students of different houses was held at WIS Bhilwara. Students created logo for their respective houses-Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby and Topaz.
Similarly puppets are an aspect of our history and everyday lives. We see them on television, on videos or in live performances. They are both entertaining and captivating. Children can believe and relate to them; they can enter and explore the fascinating inventive world that puppets create. So, WIS Bhilwara organized hand puppet making competition for Grades I to VIII.Students made very creative puppets using ice-cream sticks, gloves, socks, bottles, scrubbers,balloons,paper bags etc.

"Show and Tell" Activity by Sr. KG ( 2016-17 ) at Witty World, Bangur Nagar


Take a bus or take a train,
Take a boat or take a plane,
Take a taxi, take a car,
Maybe near or maybe far,
Take a rocket to the moon,
But be sure to come back soon.

On Wednesday, 31.08.2016 the Little Wittians of Sr. Kg A and B did a Show and Tell activity for the theme of Wheels and Wings, where they spoke about the various modes of transport and its uses.
Their little voices filled the mini auditorium as the children enjoyed speaking about their favourite transport toy. They also got a hands on feel of being on stage and speaking on the mike.
It was a quite a confidence building activity for the children and a creative way of re enforcing the concept as well.
