Poets of WIS, Udaipur

To explore the power of expressions and writing skills WIS organized an Inter-House Poetry Competition on Thursday 6 October, 2016.

In a passion to understand Truth, Courage and Non violence, students of Grade - VI to VIII participated in the competition with full zeal.

Aim of the competition was to broaden Wittians knowledge vocabulary, expressions and poetry style. They adopted the percepts of Truth, Courage and Non violence in their composition.

Field Trip to Bike Showroom by Nursery Section WIS, Malad (2016-2017)

Field trips are a valuable learning experience for young children. The theme for the month being "TRANSPORT", children of Nursery Section were taken to VENETIAN HONDA SHOWROOM, a multi storey BIKE showroom on Thursday, 6^th October, 2016. Children were shown the two wheeler transportation - Scooters and Bikes and were explained their basic features. 

Beach Day Celebration by Playgroup Section WIS, Malad (2016-2017)

Mumbai has quite a few beaches, so kids are well aware of a beach. To reinforce this further a beach scene was created in school for the preschool children who had got their swimwear, towels, sunglasses, an umbrella and a hat. They enjoyed role play of the associated activities.

Lemonade making activity by Nursery Section ( 2016-17 ) at Witty World, Bangur Nagar

On Friday 30th of September, 2016,the little Wittians at  Witty World were introduced to letter Ll, using Letterland flashcards .What made it more fun was the lemonade making activity which accompanied it. Children thoroughly enjoyed the hands on cooking experience, where they squeezed lemons, added salt and sugar and made yummy, juicy, lemonade juice. The activity also created a strong sensory association for the letter Ll. 

 It was a fun day for the tiny tots. 

Field Trip to Bio Diversity Park..

On the occasion of 62^nd Wild Life Week programme, Wittians of Grade – VIII visited Mewar Bio Diversity Park on October 5, 2016. They enthusiastically participated in different activities such as ‘Wild Life Quiz’ and won exciting prizes. To add excitement to their trip a ‘Treasure Hunt’ was organized wherein they spotted photographs of the local flora and fauna. Wittians also participated in ‘Trekking’, ‘Firefox’ and ‘Zip Line’ activities. The trip ensured to provide information about Biodiversity amongst the youth.

 

Nature is a Treasure save it for Pleasure!!

To celebrate 62^nd Wildlife Week Wittians went for a field trip to Sajjangarh Biological Park. Students enjoyed the trip and appreciated the natural beauty of Aravalli Hills and the rich flora and fauna in the area. They were given information about wildlife and their natural habitats. The aim of the field trip was to encourage the students to explore the natural world around them and to introduce basic ecological and environmental concepts. They noted information regarding food chain and how creatures adapt to their environment. Grade VI to VIII actively participated in the On the Spot Painting Competition and enjoyed it.

 

Dramatization at the beach (Play Group, 03.10.16)

The sparkling stars of Play Group enjoyed the dramatization at the beach on Monday, October 3,2016. The tiny tots enjoyed the sand play and they also played with sand toys. The kids learnt that we should wear sun glasses when we go at the beach, so that it doesn’t hurt our eyes. The toddlers made the beach mural, they did the finger painting to make waves with the help of blue colour. The little ones also made Fish with thumb painting. Through this activity they could recognize beach.

Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti celebrated at WIS,Bhilwara (30.09.16)

Every year on October 2 we celebrate the birthday of two great leaders Shri Mahatma Gandhi and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri. This day is marked by grand celebration. It is a day for the children to understand the spirit of non-violence and sacrifices of these great heroes of our country.  It was a quality of the spirit – a quality of humble love for all beings.

 This special day was celebrated at WIS,Bhilwara on Friday, September 30,2016. A student of Grade I delivered a speech and tried to influence everyone with Gandhiji’s and Shastriji’s simple living and high thinking thoughts and moral values. After that, students of Grade II sang the most favourite song of Gandhiji’s “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram”.

At last students of Grade II enacted a play. This play conveyed the message that all are equal and there is importance of each individual in this world.

The students were very excited and their hearts were filled with enthusiasm.
