Navratri and Dusshera celebrated at WIS,Bhilwara (07.10.16)

Today is the day when we burn all our sins,
And promise to begin all over again,
Flames come and take all the darkness away,
Light shines and makes it own way

Because this is the festival where truth wins,
We make our way towards a bright future and with our heads high and up chins,
Take a vow to do all this together,
As we burn the ravana inside us which is kept like a false heather!

Dussehra is a major festival in Hindu Religion. The extent of celebrations on this has no end to it, because of the reasons that are associated with this day. With triumph of good over evil, certainly this festival has an immense meaning holding in itself. To make the students understand the significance of the two pious days, Students of Pre-Primary and Primary celebrated Ramnavmi and Dussehra with great fervour and excitement. Attired in colourful dresses, students presented a beautiful and special programme highlighting the importance of the days. On the occasion, speech, poems and devotional songs were presented by the students. During the celebration, the students came to know that Navratri is replete with symbolism about vanquishing evil and wanton nature and about having reverence for all aspects of our life and even for the things and objects that contribute to our well being.

The whole campus of school got sparkled with enthusiasm when the cute and little kids of pre primary performed Garba dance. The programme was followed by burning the effigy of Ravan to denote eradication of evil from the society and hearts of people. Everyone in the school celebrated the day with total involvement, joy and love.

Navratri and Dusshera celebration by Playgroup and Nursery section (2016-17) at Witty World, Bangur Nagar

Witty Kids celebrated “Navratri and Dusshera” with their little ones on Monday, 10th October 2016. As a part of the celebrations, children as well as teachers came dressed in ethnic attire .The classrooms and the auditorium was decorated to set the mood for some live garba and dandiya. Teachers explained to the children about the importance of the festival and also informed that Navratri  is widely celebrated in different parts of India.

To give a creative touch to the festive environment, children of Nursery coloured Ravana in their book where as Jr.KG and Sr.KG children drew the picture of Ravana in their scrapbook. The excitement and energy was in full swing as the auditorium  echoed with fun and fast traditional garba songs. Children had great fun and entertainment!

The classrooms and the lobby was decorated to set the mood for some live garba and dandiya. Teacher's explained about the importance of the festival.

Melodious Wittians Emerged as Winners Once Again!!

Dandia Masti At WITTY, Udaipur

Navratri festival is the joyous way of worshipping Goddess Durga. Today at WIS, Wittians along with their teachers celebrated the festival with great joy and vigour. Students came dressed in traditional attire and rocked the floor on dandia numbers.

It was a colourful show with  teachers joining the students enthusiastically in their dance. 

Dental Check-up and Awareness Programme at WIS

WIS, organised a dental check-up and awareness programme which continued from October 3, 2016 to October 6, 2016. A team of senior specialists, dental surgeons and para - medical staff carried out a comprehensive dental check-up of students from pre-primary to senior secondary. The programme culminated with a dental awareness seminar, educating the students about common dental ailments, especially stressing on tooth decay and gum diseases. The students were highlighted about the eating patterns and food choices which cause tooth decay and also about the measures to prevent them.

 

Felicitation of WIS Artists

On the occasion of 62^nd Wild Life Week programme young and creative artists of WIS participated in ‘On the Spot Painting Competition’ organized by Wild Life Department of Udaipur on October 3, 2016 at Sajjangarh Biological Park. The felicitation ceremony for the same was held at MB Science College, Udaipur on October 7, 2016. Pratyaksha Shukla and Aanchal Goyal of Grade VIII added one more feather in the cap of WIS. They bagged 2^nd and 3^rd position. They were awarded a memento and a certificate. Heartiest Congratulations to the Winners.

 

Dusshera Celebration at WIS, Udaipur

 आदौ  रामतपोवनादिगमनं हत्वा मृगं काञ्चनं

वैदेहीहरणं जटायुमरणं सुग्रीवसम्भाषणम्।
बालीनिग्रहणं समुद्रतरणं लंकापुरी दाहनं
पश्चाद्रावण कुम्भकर्ण हनन मेतद्धि रामायणम्।।

Little Wittians of Pre-Primary celebrated Dusshera with great zeal and enthusiasm. They all came dressed in traditional attire for the celebration.

Children of Jr.KG and Sr.KG enacted the story of Ramayan in the form of small skit. They came dressed as different characters of the skit i.e. Ram, Sita, Hanumaan etc. The pre-primary Wittians enjoyed playing dandiya with their peers. Kids enjoyed tapping their feet on the different tracks played.
