Field Trip To A Textile Mill (Gr VII & VIII on 30.07.18 and Grade V & VI on 31.07.18)

Students look forward to the field trips all year long. A chance to escape the confines of the classroom and take learning opportunities in a practical way.
Field Trips are a break from the usual school day, offering the opportunity to communicate with classmates and teachers in a slightly more relaxed manner than the normal school environment. Hence students of Grade V to VIII went on a field trip to textile mill, Sudiva Spinners Pvt Ltd, a unit of the Textile Corporation Ltd. This visit allowed the children to actually observe how cotton is collected from a cotton plant and is made into cloth.  The manager of the mill was delighted to have our children visit and explained each process along with the necessary machinery. Students learned about the various processes involved in the process of fibre to fabric like carding, drawing, simplex and spinning. Students also learned about the making , winding, warping and sizing. The final step was packing and storing via using Japanese technology where the children were able to practically see the packages being carried from machines. The kids were fascinated and asked many questions throughout the process. It was a wonderful learning experience for everyone.

Circle Day Celebration by Playgroup Section at Witty World, Chikoowadi (2018-19)

Mr. Circle came to Witty World on Monday, 30 July 2018, to meet the little Wittians of Playgroup section and he introduced himself by singing a rhyme.

Here’s a circle, Here’s a circle,

How can you tell?

It goes round and round,

No ends can be found,

It’s a Circle...

Teacher encouraged children to recognize the Circle shaped objects which were shown in the class, and did circle shape dabbing on worksheet.

Children brought circle shaped snacks in their tiffin. And Mr. Circle enjoyed the day by walking on a circle shaped hoopla ring which was of circle shape with the little Wittians. It was indeed a fun-filled day with Mr. Circle in the class!!!

Oh it's fun to have a Pet!!!!

Pets have needs,pets need care,

Give them Shelter and treat them fair!

Pets have needs and they need you

Food and water and exercise too!!

 On Monday, 30th July 2018,  Witty World Goregaon East organised a pet animal tea party which included fun-filled activities for our little Witttian's of Playgroup in the Community area where teachers had an interactive conversation with kids about the pet animals. The children were encouraged to say a few words about the stuffed animal toys brought by them.They danced on familiar animal rhymes and rocked the party.
