Rhyme Enactment (Queen of Hearts) by Nursery Section (2019-2020), Witty World, Goregaon East

The queen of hearts,

She made some tarts,

All on a summer’s day,

The knave of hearts,

She stole those tarts,

And took them clean away.

The little Wittians of Witty World (Goregaon East) enthusiastically came dressed as a Queen, King and Knave on Monday, 28th February 2020. They enacted the rhyme “Queen of Hearts”. The little ones beautifully represented themselves in the character they were dressed in, for the enactment. They also enjoyed reciting the rhymes with their peers. Children were motivated to take part in the enactment to overcome their stage fear. In this way, it was a fun-filled day for the Kings, Queens & Knaves.

Super fun at the supermarket!!

To market, to market, to buy a fat fig,

To market, to market, jiggety jig!!!

Imagine a Nursery child in a supermarket, pushing trolleys, selecting fruits and veggies and paying for it, and doing all this unaccompanied by their parents!!!

             

Well, this is exactly the experience little Wittians of the Nursery class had today in the mock supermarket that their teachers had set up for them in school. They had a blast whizzing by with their loaded baskets and of course using fake money to pay for it at the counter manned by their friends!!

Field Trip to a Garden by Playgroup Section, (2019-20), Witty World, Goregaon East

To give a hands on experience related to the theme of ‘Flowers and Insects’ 

the little ones of Witty World, Goregaon East Playgroup section were taken to Brahmachari Vishwanath

Guruji Udyan garden on Friday, 28^th February, 2020.

The objective of the activity was to reinforce the topic and to inculcate the love for the environment and to enjoy the beauty of nature. The little ones were briefed that the garden has a collection and a range of flowers. Children observed and explored variety of colorful flowers, insects and plants. They were curious to know about the surrounding and were very happy to experience nature so closely along with their peers and teachers. The little learners were responsible and refrained themselves from touching the plants and plucking leaves or flowers. This field trip sensitized the children towards caring for the environment and the importance of planting more trees. Indeed it was a fantastic day out with peers in the garden with lots of learning.
