FIELD TRIP TO PARLE-G BISCUIT FACTORY
Students of Grade II and III were taken for a Field trip to Parle-G biscuit factory at Vile Parle, Mumbai on Saturday, July 27, 2013. An enthusiastic group of students and teachers reached the venue on time. The sweet aroma of oven-fresh biscuits welcomed them all.
Students were shown an animated documentary film about the past history and production of different types of biscuits, candies, toffees and cheeslings manufactured by Parle G group. They were then taken inside the factory to have a view of various stages of production, such as mixing, kneading, moulding, baking and packaging the final product. The massive oven and biscuits sailing on endless waves of conveyor belts fascinated the children.
At the time of departure, students were distributed a packet of Parle-G glucose biscuits and a melody toffee. It was an interesting, enriching and informative field trip.
