“Be the Change you want to see in the World” – Mahatma Gandhi {WIS, Udaipur (2013-14)}

Wittians celebrated Gandhi Ji and Lal Bahadur Shastri’s birth anniversary with zest and zeal.

The Blooming Wittians took the charge to portray a splendid assembly on the ideals of the Father of our Nation - Mahatma Gandhi. It started off with the immersion of all Wittians in the melody of the patriotic song composed by ‘Bapu’ himself. The tiny tots of Grade 1 came up confidently and delivered speeches, recited poems and spoke beautiful quotations on Gandhi Ji and shared “Bapu ke Vichaar”. They enacted incidents from Gandhi Ji’s life which ingrained his motto of ‘Ahimsa’ in an interactive way in the students.

The celebration of the birth anniversary added to the aura of Patriotism. The highlight of the assembly was the fact that it was solely conducted by the students of Grade 1. This endeavour truly proved that Wittians can take up any challenge be it Theatre, oration and the art of singing.
