Today WIS Celebrated
Van Mahotsav Day. Students of Grade 6 presented a beautiful skit, confidently
asserting in the end -“Don’t cut trees!!” Don’t cut trees! It was followed by
two beautifully recited poems and an eloquent speech on the importance of
forests. Then students took a vow to plant at least one tree for their own
benefit. This special program was concluded by students giving a beautiful
sapling to the Principal, as a token of remembrance for the occasion. Finally,
the Principal spoke her own realizations, which were encouraging and heart
touching.
If we do not take
the initiative of taking care of the planet earth and continue exploiting the
natural resources, we will have to face the horrendous consequences. Truly
speaking, it is imperative to act responsibly and save our natural treasures.
Save forests, save humanity!
