“Want to know how a yarn is made?”
Students of Grade VI, VII and XI set out for a
field trip to Perfect Thread Mill Pvt.
Ltd. situated at Amberi, Udaipur. They witnessed the process of thread
making from cotton. They understood the functioning and use of various
technologies like mercerizing, bleaching, drying and dyeing etc. Wittians
identified the yarn by feeling the texture and visual appearance. Queries of the
students were answered by the staff members. Many students were filled with awe on seeing the assembly line in the factory. Teachers
thanked the staff and the management for their assistance and cooperation. It
was an educative and informative field trip.
