“At
the stroke of midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life
and freedom. A moment comes which comes but rarely in history, when we step out
from the old to the new, then an age ends, and when the soul of a nation, long
suppressed, finds utterance. It is fitting that at this solemn moment we take
the pledge of dedication to India and her people and to the still larger cause
of humanity.”- Shri Jawaharlal Nehru
WIS Udaipur celebrated its 68th Independence Day.
The students and the teachers attended the program with great sincerity.
Reverence and devotion for the country was clearly visible on their faces as
they participated in the program. The program began by beautiful and classic
patriotic songs. Then Witty choir sang a very touching song “Ab tumhare hawaale
watan sathion”. Our chief guests Mr. Dependra Sogani and Ms. Preeti Sogani
graced the occasion by their beguine presence.
In the beautiful and young morning, they hoisted the flag and wished the
entire staff and students “Happy Independence Day”. The entire school echoed with the patriotic
slogans like “JAI HIND” and “BHARAT MATA KI JAI.”
