Raksha Bandhan Celebrated at WIS, Bhilwara (09.08.14)

Holi is colourful, Diwali is brightful, Rakhi makes our relationship POWERFUL.
Relationships are the essence of any festivity and hold  true for any Indian festival. Each occasion brings the family together which calls for a celebration. Raksha Bandhan is a celebration of one such relation - that of a brother and a sister.
The name 'Raksha Bandhan' suggests 'a bond of protection'. This auspicious day is celebrated today at WIS, Bhilwara.Students of Grade I & II presented beautiful poems and speeches to convey the significance of the festival. Rakhi tying activity of real siblings was held where brothers made a promise to their sisters to protect them from all harms and troubles and the sisters prayed to God to protect their brothers from all evil.
