Wittians Spread the Colours of Rajasthan on State Level Independence Day Celebration (Udaipur)


Rajasthan festivals are a symbol of the vivacious spirit of the people of the state. Festivals in Rajasthan are celebrated with great pomp and show. Folk music and dance is a feature of almost every festival in Rajasthan. Gangaur is the colourful and one of the most important festivals of people of Rajasthan and is observed throughout the state with great fervour and devotion by womenfolk who worship Gauri, the consort of Lord Shiva. It is the celebration of spring, harvest and marital fidelity. Wittians presented the colours of Rajasthan in the form of a beautiful dance based on the festival of Gangaur on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day at M.L.S.U Auditorium. The programme was organised by Martand Foundation to celebrate the 68th Independence Day. It was presided over by the Cabinet Minister, Mr. Gulab Chand Kataria and Mayor of Udaipur, Ms. Rajni Dangi. The dance was highly appreciated by each and every person present there. The auditorium echoed with the appreciation and claps of the overjoyed audience.
