Ganpati Bappa Morya!!! Mangal Murthi Morya!!!
Ganesh
Chaturthi is celebrated with great joy and devotion in India. People bring
Ganesha Idols and worship them during Ganesh Chaturthi. Ganesh Chaturthi is
considered as the day on which Lord Ganesha comes down on earth
toshower his blessings on his devotees. This festival is
celebrated with extreme enthusiasm especially in Western India. Here the
celebration lasts for ten days and the deity of Ganesha is kept for
all these ten days. On the last day, the idol is ceremoniously immersed in sea
(or) any other natural water body with all due prayers.
On Wednesday, 3 September
2014 children of Pre-Primary section at WIS celebrated the festival
of "Ganesh Chaturthi". Children were explained the importance
of Ganesh Chaturthi and were also educated for using Eco - friendly Ganesha
Idol to reduce water pollution. Teachers of Pre- Primary section performed a
skit on importance of friendship through a story on “Mushak - The Mouse” which
is a vaahan(means of transport) of Lord Ganesha.
Foot tapping music was played for the
children to dance and enjoy themselves. They also chanted "Ganpati Bappa
Morya"!!!
