Students
of Witty International School, Pawan Baug celebrated ‘Hindi Diwas’ with much
fanfare. The atmosphere was electric since morning as students enthusiastically
participated in various competitions such as ‘Mukhota’, ‘Shabd-Jal’, ‘Jo Dikhta
Hai Woh Bikhta Hai’ and ‘Suno-Sunao’ to highlight our National language.
The
school had invited Dr.Sagar Tripathi, as the chief guest to mark the importance
of this day along with the students. Students organised a beautiful cultural
programme where the audience was enlightened and enchanted by brilliant
performances put up by them. A social message on ‘Cleanliness and Hygiene’ was
sent across to everyone through the play “Chandi ka Chammach”. The students
were left spellbound and mesmerised by the scintillating performances of our
Wittians. The occasion was also marked
by rendition of poems in the Kavi Sammelan which symbolised humour, patriotism,
exam fever etc. Drug addiction problem was highlighted through the Nukkad Natak
- “Yaaron Bas Karo”. The issue was sensitised beautifully with a mix of humour
and wit. The message was rightly conveyed to the audience present. “Mansha” – A
thought provoking speech compelled the audience to think and reflect on their
National Language and its usage in the country. Dr. Sagar Tripathi aptly said,
“Hindi takes on the true spirit of Indians and
is the ‘link language’ uniting the diverse India. Today’s generation has become
a slave of western culture so the students must learn to respect their own language.”
"Hindi is our National Language. It is the most
scientific language. In our thirst for exploring new horizons of knowledge and
learning new languages, we should not forget our mother tongue," remarked the Principal, Mr Bijo Kurian. He
also appreciated the efforts of the Hindi
Department and the participating students.
The students were also advised to revere Hindi language, enrich
Hindi literature and strive to bring ‘Hindi’ to the pedestal where the whole
world acknowledges its magnitude.
