Watermelon is the large melon- like fruit of a plant of
the gourd family with smooth green skin, red pulp and watery juice. The little
buddies of Playgroup were introduced to fruit watermelon with great fun and
joy. The kids learnt that it is very heavy and it has lots of water in it. The
watermelon also has many seeds. The children did the knuckle painting on
watermelon outline. The toddlers also learnt that yummy fresh juice can be
extracted from the watermelon. They tasted the fruit also through this
activity, the kids could recognize the
fruit Watermelon.
