hosts CIE Principals’ Meet
Cambridge
International Examinations firmly believes in Excellence in Education. It is committed to raising standards of
pedagogy by giving Cambridge teachers opportunities to develop their
professional practice, going beyond the skills they need to teach a particular
syllabus. Thus to ensure effective curriculum development, CIE conducted a
Principals’ Meet in Witty International School, Pawan Baug.
The
CEO of Cambridge International Examinations - Michael O'Sullivan, Regional Director - Ruchira Ghosh and Senior
Schools Development Manager - Vinayak Sudhakar led the
conference. Principals of reputed Cambridge Schools including Josephine Vaz of
Jamnabai Narsee International School, Bijo Kurian of Witty International
School, Dr Vandana Lulla of Podar International School, Abha Dharam Pal of
Utpal Sanghvi School, Vandana Arora of Nahar International School, Kavita
Aggarwal of DG Khaitan International School, Tanya Valecha of Rustomjee
Cambridge International School, Savita Venkat of Bombay Cambridge International
School, Abhimanyu Basu of Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Kavita
Malhotra of Universal School, Radhika Sinha of Aditya Birla World Academy and
Dr Ranjani Krishnaswamy of Billabong High International School were a part of
this educative meet.
The
conference brought the Cambridge Principals together to discuss educational
themes and share ideas. They created an opportunity for Cambridge schools to
work together and reflect on developments in education. This meet aimed at
collaboration of various Cambridge schools across Mumbai to provide a platform
to review on teaching methods, challenge things that can be improved and build
on what has already been achieved. Bijo Kurian of Witty International School
said, “CIE aims to support schools by providing a flexible curriculum framework
and to promote active and autonomous learning by putting the student at the
heart of syllabus design. Conferences like this one allow us to share ideas and
learn from each other. We share with schools a common purpose – transformative
education and a common focus – the student.”
