Where will we be
if we graduate a generation of young people who can write an academic paper on
the Civil War but have no power to convey the human experience?
Activities in languages engage the child’s physical, mental and
sensory channels. When a child in class is immersed in a story or writing or
thinking, he is not only interpreting complex information, he is visualizing
it, he is feeling it and he is unearthing who he is.
At WIS Bhilwara activities in English language were
conducted to enable the students to dig down deep. Grade VII shared their views
about some events for which no natural explanation can be given. Students
discussed some of their experiences for which they didn't have any justifiable
reason. They thought out of the box. Ma’am Principal also joined them.
Grade VI thought
upon an idea of having an imaginary planet WITTY PLANET. They drew, and wrote
about its location, composition and special features. They had an amazing
opportunity to learn and share with their classmates serving in various
occupations. Their thoughts were clear, ordered and concised.
