“The eyes
are the windows of the soul”. Good vision contributes greatly to the strength
of health and wits. In accordance with our Annual Theme - “Health is Wealth”, Witty
International School, Pawn Baug conducted Vision Care -The Eye and Health Care
Project in collaboration with Vision Sankara Eye Hospital for the students of
Primary Section.
The eye care
screening for our Wittians was conducted in the School’s Medical Center on 8th
and 9th July, 2015. The objective of this event was to spread
awareness on eye disorders, their early detection and to detect refractive
errors and eye ailments among our students.
The team from
Vision Sankara Eye Hospital was led by renowned
Ophthalmologist, Dr. Aashish Bacchav and two optometrists. About 360 students from
Grade I to IV were screened for Distance Vision, Both Eyes Acuity, Intermediate
Vision, Color Vision, Horizontal Field Test, Vertical Field Test, Contrast
Sensitivity, Glare Recovery and Near Vision Test.
Students were
issued certificates with suggestions for any treatment, if required. We express
our gratitude to Dr. Aashish Bacchav and his team for providing their voluntary service
and valuable time.
