Hiroshima Day – A Contemporary Perspective of History... (Primary), WIS Bhilwara

Hiroshima Day is not a day of celebration; it is a day of remembrance. This somber observance is a reminder of a quarter of a million souls who have perished due to a single catastrophic explosion on a bright and beautiful sunny monday morning of the 6th of August 1945 in Hiroshima, brought about by an American nuclear attack.
Students at WIS Bhilwara were informed about the history and facts of the mission of attacking on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan by US. Famous poem by “Ajneya” on Hiroshima was recited in the assembly which presented the terror and destruction caused by nuclear radiations in human life.
