Nursery section celebrated 'Hexagon Day' on
Wednesday, 14th October 2015.
Introducing shapes plays an important part in
the early stages of math education. Learning shapes is one of the goals of the
pre-school curriculum.
Children in the Nursery class
at Witty World were introduced to Mr. Hexagon today.....and magically he has 6
sides and 6 corners!!!
Children
were shown different objects of hexagon shape. Children drew hexagon shape in
the air with their fingers.
An activity of
sticking ice-cream sticks on a hexagon further re-in forced the concept.
