LITERARY SPARKS
ODYSSEY –
English Literary Sparks, a day dedicated to English language was organized on
Wednesday 23rd December, 2015.
The objective of this day is to enrich the speaking and writing skills of
the students. Students participated in a series of competitions related to
English literature. Students of grade I-V participated in the compulsory event ‘Paragraph
Writing’ displaying their writing skills. They penned down their thoughts on
the given topic.
Students exhibited
their oratory skills by participating in events such as Take a Bow, Mad Adz,
Verbaloquence, Talk Show and Elocution.
Students came
well prepared and enthralled the judges with their performance. Each student
put the best step forward to win the competition. The event provided a platform
to the students to express themselves, encouraging them to enhance their
English language skills.
Many of them enthusiastically
participated in Spellkasters, a spell bee competition conducted in two
qualifying rounds and the final oral round. The competitors gave a tough
competition to their opponents.
It was a
festive mood all over with students dressed in party dress. They enjoyed the
snacks served. At the end of the day it was pleasing to see the students
wishing each other and the teachers a Merry Christmas.
