Phonic is knowing sounds and letters
have relationship – its that simple, and that complex. It is the link between
what we say and what we can read and write. With the help of teachers, kids can
learn strategies to overcome word decoding and phonic problems that affect
their reading.
Today at Witty International School, Udaipur we had a super morning workshop organised on phonics. It was conducted
by Mrs. Sheetal Kapoor and Mrs. Shweta Modi. The workshop was about how to help
children understand phonics by engaging them in action and activities. The
session was well attended by parents and everybody had lots of fun playing
different phonic games. It was fantastic opportunity for parents to see how we
teach phonics and reading where lots of ideas were shared about how parents can
help their children at home.
